                                                                  Italian Beef Sandwich

3-4 lb. Lean Beef Roast.
1 Packet Italian Salad Dressing Mix.
1 Packet Garlic Salad Dressing Mix.
Or Italian Beef Seasoning Mix.
1-2 cups of Water or according to directions on Seasoning Packet Mix.
Rolls for serving.

Place Roast in slow-cooker.
Add Seasonings and Water.
Cook on low 10-12 hours or on high 5-6 hours.
Or until done and falling apart tender.

Serve on Italian rolls, Kaiser rolls, Hamburger buns, or whatever bread you prefer.

My husband got this recipe when he worked for an ambulance company, that ran out of a fire dept. If there's one thing most firefighter know how to do, it's cook. They used a can of beer instead of the water. If you would like you can do that, too. You might need a little more liquid than 1 can, but start with that and keep an eye on it. By the way, you can save calories by using the water instead of the beer. That's the way I make it and it's delicious.
