A blog of simple, easy, money, time saving and also healthy Crock-Pot recipes. A lot of these recipes are soup recipes or recipes that include soup in the ingredients. Some are sauces or one-pot meals. I worked in a Crock-Pot Factory, in Hannibal, Mo., when we first got married, on November 30, 1974. The people I worked with gave us a Crock-Pot for a wedding gift. I started using one way back then and still use one. So I've been using a Crock-Pot for over 39 years now.

Crock-Pot Fried Chicken
Several pieces, of your choice, of Chicken.
1-2 Cups of Unbleached Flour.
1 Tablespoon Seasoned Salt or Seasoned Salt Substitute.
1/2 -1 Teaspoon Pepper.
1/2-1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder.
1/2-1 Teaspoon Oregano.
Combine the Flour and Seasonings in a plastic bag or bowl.
Coat each piece of Chicken with the Flour mixture and brown them in the Butter.
Place them in the crock-pot.
Cover and cook on Low for 8-10 hours or on High for 4-5 hours or until done.

Crock-Pot Swiss Steak
3-4 Pound Lean Round Steak; tenderized or not.
Olive Oil for browning.
1 Large or 2 Regular Size Cans Reduced Fat and Sodium Cream of Mushroom Soup.
1-2 Cans of Low Sodium Beef Broth or Water.
2-3 Low Sodium Beef Bouillon Cubes.
1 Small Box Fresh Mushrooms; cleaned and sliced.
1 Packet Onion Soup Mix.
Seasoned Salt Substitute to taste.
Pepper to taste.
Season and brown the Round Steak in the Olive Oil.
Transfer into the Crock-Pot with a fork.
Add in all of the other ingredients.
Cover and cook on Low for 8-10 hours or on High for 4-5 hours.

Barbecued Pork Steak
2-4 or maybe more Pork Steaks.
Seasoned Salt or Seasoned Salt Substitute to taste.
Pepper to taste.
Garlic Powder to taste; sprinkled on.
Onion Powder to taste; sprinkled on.
Barbecue Sauce of your choice.
About 1 Cup or so of Water.
Season and brown the Pork Steaks in a cast iron skillet.
Put Barbecue Sauce on one side of each Pork Steak.
Put it in the Crock-Pot the Barbecued side down.
Put Barbecue Sauce on the top sides in the Crock-Pot.
Cover and cook on Low for 6-8 hours or on High for 3-4 hours or until done and tender.
You can also cook in the Iron Skillet on the stove and Barbecue one side and turn over.
Barbecue the top side and finish cooking under the broiler.

Spaghetti/Baked Spaghetti
Although I have made Spaghetti Sauce in the Crock-Pot a lot of times before; this time we actually fixed it on the stove; Thursday. Today I will be fixing Baked Spaghetti, in the oven. Still good, but it wasn't ready when we got home Thursday and we ate later than I like to. Anyway you can make the Sauce in the Crock-Pot and fix this in the next day or two.
1 Pound Lean Ground Beef.
1 Small Onion; chopped.
1-2 Cloves of Garlic; chopped.
1 Large Jar Spaghetti Sauce of your choice.
Small amount of Water to rinse out the jar.
Seasoned Salt or Seasoned Salt Substitute to taste.
Pepper to taste.
1 Pound Spaghetti.
2 Eggs; beaten.
1/3 Cups Parmesan Cheese.
2 Tablespoons melted Butter.
2 Cups Small curd Cottage Cheese.
4 Cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese.
Season and brown the Ground Beef, Onion and Garlic in a skillet.
Transfer into the Crock-Pot with a slotted spoon or drain and transfer.
Add in all of the other ingredients, except the Spaghetti, Eggs, Milk, Cottage Cheese and Mozzarella Cheese.
Stir together well.
Cover and cook on Low for 8-10 hours or on High for 4-5 hours.
Serve with cooked Spaghetti for the first day.
For Baked Spaghetti:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Mix the Eggs, Melted Butter and Parmesan Cheese and Cottage cheese together with the leftover Spaghetti and Sauce.
Put a layer of the Spaghetti mixture in the bottom of the Casserole dish,
Sprinkle half of the Mozzarella Cheese on top of this.
Layer the rest of the Spaghetti mixture on top of this.
Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
Sprinkle the rest of the Mozzarella Cheese on top.
Bake an additional 5 minutes.
